About #OpenChange

#OpenChange is a social learning and collaboration platform that brings together a community of changemakers while enabling the flow of knowledge, tools, and resources to accelerate the pace of positive change in the world.

We recognize that global change begins at the community level; #OpenChange empowers changemakers to succeed by supporting collective action.

#OpenChange on Slack

This online communication and collaboration space makes it easy for people to connect and collaborate with tens or even hundreds of people at once from their computer or mobile device.

#OpenChange on Slack was created specifically for changemakers and offers several features that make it easy for you and your program or initiative collaborators to work together, in real time:

  • Simple and intuitive to use and manage
  • Works equally well on desktop and mobile devices
  • Supports 1:1 and group messaging
  • Supports small-group video/voice chat and integrates with Zoom for larger groups
  • Searchable conversation and file history
  • Integrates with popular file sharing apps like Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive

In addition to private channels, all members of #OpenChange will have access to open channels. Open channels include #openchange-help, where workspace users can receive help using the Slack platform, and #openchange-everyone, a place to connect with all invited members of #OpenChange.

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) is supporting the launch of the #OpenChange on Slack community to share and scale its DNA approach for transformational change (racial equity, community engagement, and leadership) across the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.
